Thankfully there is still good demand for whole prawns and prawn tails, although things are much quieter on the whitefish front. Boats are currently in the Irish Sea, Smalls and the Porcupine bank. See us at the Bord Bia "Marketplace" on February 7th in Dublin, Ireland

We are happy to report that our two new boats Arkh Angell & Celtic Warrior II went to sea in October and we wish them well in their fishing careers! The Margaret Mary has installed freezing gear, which means the Co-op can provide access to nine "freezer" and three "fresh" vessels.Volumes have been quiet during recent months with combination of weather/high tides, and we can only hope that fishing improves before Christmas, to satisfy both customers and fishermen. The Irish Sea has been closed since October and boats have gone to Galway and the Smalls in search of prawns.
TWO new members of the fleet
Tomas Whelahan's "Arkh Angell DA33" and Barry Faulkners "Raguenes II" (Celtic Warrior II). We wish Tomas and Barry all the best for the future. It is hoped both boats will be fishing by the early autumn.

The fleet is presently (after the celebrations of Clogherhead prawn festival) back fishing and split between the Irish Sea and the Porcupine Bank, with availability of fresh whole prawns, prawn tails plus frozen at sea, males and females.
